I’m a queer therapist who practices from a Health at Every Size, attachment-based, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, and somatic-based approach. As someone who lives in a larger Body, I know what it’s like to be told your Body is bad or wrong. I’m actively working on my relationship with My Body as I hold space for clients as they process through and heal their relationship with their Bodies.
My experience includes working with clients who are exploring their gender identity and/or sexuality, folx who are coming out, and people who have experienced religious trauma. I primarily work with teenagers, college students, and young adults who have experienced complex childhood trauma, are experiencing mental health symptoms, and are going through life transitions. My work includes helping people heal childhood wounds and regain healthy attachments with those around them.
I’m passionate about helping those who have experienced religious trauma, spiritual abuse, and who have grown up in purity culture. I am trained in Level I of the Trauma Resiliency Model which is a somatic-based therapy that helps reprocess traumatic experiences through a mind-body approach.
I’m here to walk alongside you and learn with and from you, as you are the expert of your life. As someone who has sat on the other side of the room, I know firsthand that healing is possible. If you want to work with someone who understands lived experience, please reach out to me. The first step is the hardest. I will be alongside you on the journey.
