Deanna Burgess is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) with a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Doctorate of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Pennsylvania State University. Deanna has worked in community mental health, university mental health and career services, and in school-based mental health counseling. Deanna works from an anti-racist/anti-oppressive lens and is LGBTQIA+ affirming. Deanna has training in motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral training, and in treating an array of disorders and areas of distress. Deanna has substantial experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with traumatic experiences, relational and attachment challenges, self-esteem, grief, and struggles with depression, anxiety, anger management, and substance use disorders.
