These are challenging times. In a world filled with injustices and uncertainty, it is probably safe to say that many of us are struggling. It can be even harder when we have life challenges that feel insurmountable. I know what it’s like to be in a place where it feels as if we could use a little extra help, but there is nobody to turn to that understands the unique types of problems I want to talk about.
As a kink-aware therapist and one that is experienced in the world of polyamory and consensual non-monogamy, I hope to bridge that gap by eliminating stigmas for those that live differently, and by supporting those that feel left out, or misunderstood. I also care deeply about social justice, work hard to dismantle oppression and marginalization where possible, and am a vocal LGBTQ+ and feminist ally that wants to see change. As someone that became a therapist later in life, I apply the diverse experiences I’ve lived, into my practice so that I am more able to help you along your personal journey, and so that we may work collaboratively to uncover any barriers you may have that are preventing you from living a more authentic self.
I apply a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Affirmative Therapy and other strengths based approaches for my clients, and also work with couples as a Level 1 Certified Gottman Method Therapist.
I understand that it’s not always easy to ask for the support you need. I promise to be a good listener, and will be with you as you take those first steps towards a life filled with more happiness, positivity, and fulfillment.
