I am not open to new clients at this time. If you'd like help finding another therapist with similar specialties as mine, or to ask about a waitlist, please reach out to team@besttherapies.org.
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. This feeling can make it hard to make decisions, manage life transitions or even just move forward. You don’t have to do this alone. I can assist you in finding the answers that are right for you.
My approach to therapy is empathic and goal-oriented. I also believe that while therapy is hard work, humor is also important. My clients have commented that this has helped them through some of our tougher sessions. My approach is backed by the evidence-based practices of cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, exposure response prevention therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness. Areas of specialty are treating depression, anxiety, panic and OCD. I have also worked extensively with those experiencing grief, occupational burnout and work issues, and transitions of any kind including those navigating relationship changes, job changes or cycle of life issues.
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 25 years of experience. I earned my master’s degree in clinical psychology with a professional counseling specialty in 1998. I also hold a certificate in rational emotive behavioral therapy that I earned from the Albert Ellis Institute in 2006. Before coming to Best Therapies, I had a 25 year career at a prestigious behavioral health hospital where I was the clinical coordinator of the adult partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. In addition, I have had my own private practice concurrently for all of those years.
I have a passion for what I do and would love to be able to team up with you to assist in any way that I can. The first step is the hardest and you have done that by looking for a therapist. Let’s do this together.
