Micah Holst - Queer, Transmasculine & Mental Health Counselor
He/Him/His
MA, LPC

I am open to new clients at this time.

As a Queer, Transmasculine, White-passing, Polyamorous individual, I understand the importance of identity exploration, self-acceptance, and social belonging. I have a passion for challenging societal norms and recognize the importance of everyone’s multifaceted identities.

My passion for service and previous experience includes working with Anxiety, Depression, Gender Identity, Sexual identity, Non-traditional Relationships, Kink, Trauma, Grief, Relationship Issues, and Youth experiencing emotional distress.

My personal journey has influenced me to utilize Art within therapy. Creation in all forms allows individuals to explore their past, connect with their body, deepen their understanding, and simply make art as a form of release. I have experience using art therapy alongside other modalities including strength-based, solution-focused, trauma-informed, cognitive behavioral, narrative, and person-centered. Through the lens of social justice, empathy, curiosity, and humor I want to build an affirming, trusting, and authentic connection with you. I do my best to recognize the complex systemic issues that surround race, gender, sex, size, class, education, and ability as well as the effects these issues have on mental health including isolation, depression, apathy, belonging, and anxiety. My role is to create a space for you to express, explore, build on your strengths, heal, and create meaning in your life. It would be an honor to work with you as you strive toward growth, acceptance, and self-compassion.
