Fraud Blocker Janel Wenger - Best Therapies
She/Her
BA, MA-MFT

I am open to new clients at this time.

Life can be messy, complicated, and sometimes just plain overwhelming. Perhaps, you’re trying to understand yourself better, navigating a relationship or family dynamics, recovering from difficult experiences, adjusting to a life transition, or wondering why some things seem harder for you than they “should.” You might know exactly what you want to work on or just know that something needs to change. Either way, we can start there.

My approach is collaborative, creative, and definitely not “one size fits all.” I believe therapy should adapt to you, your brain, your experiences, your identities, your relationships, your goals. Not the other way around. Sessions might involve exploring patterns, processing experiences, learning how your brain works, building practical strategies, or finding a completely different approach when the traditional advice isn’t cutting it. There is also room for humor, curiosity, and the occasional side quest.

My work is neurodiversity affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma informed, and client centered. I integrate multiple modalities, such as CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Emotional Focused Therapy, and psychoeducation based on what works for you. As a queer, AuDHD therapist and person of color, I understand the value of having a space where you don’t have to constantly explain, mask, or minimize parts of yourself. My lived experiences influence how I show up as a therapist, while recognizing that your identities, experiences and story are uniquely yours.

You don’t need the right words or a perfectly organized list of goals to start therapy. My goal is to help you better understand yourself while building practical skills and strategies you can take beyond the therapy room.

Come as you are. We will figure it out together.
